Prepare a printer for its first connection and a test print.
Identify your model
Find the exact printer model and use its setup guide. Remove only the packaging identified in that guide.
Prepare the device
Install the specified supplies, load supported paper, and complete the printer’s initial on-screen prompts.
Choose a connection
Follow the model’s instructions for USB, Ethernet, or Wi-Fi. Use manufacturer software or your operating system’s supported setup method.
Test the setup
Choose the new printer in your print dialog and print a single test page.
